The IndyCar series is possibly one of the biggest American racing events ever. It takes place within the US and across the world and culminates with the Indy 500 on Memorial Day. The competition is carried out on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway racetrack and runs for an epic 500 miles. The first ever Indy 500 took place in 1911 and featured participants such as racing legends Ray Harroun and Ralph Mulford. The tournament is still going strong today with popular drivers Dario Franchitti and Will Power participating in the contest.
